About Liana

My name is Liana Land.  I’m an herbalist and a holistic natural health advocate.  I am a mom.  I began taking charge of my health when I began planning the natural birth of my first child.  It’s been a 22 year long journey.  I will continue to listen to the plants and further my education in the healing arts until I’m ready to leave this life.  I want to share what I learn with you.   I am particularly focused on nourishing and healing with foods and herbs.  My own path has lead me to a lot of research about women’s health.  I love working with women on fertility and pregnancy issues.

I use herbs everyday, in lots of ways.  I use them for cooking, cleaning, teas, infusions, medicines, first aid and more.  My family eats organic, whole foods.  I’m constantly looking for ways to minimize our exposure to harmful chemicals.  I meditate, practice yoga and gigong.  I ask questions and look for answers!

I have no official health-related title after my name.  I grew up in the Ozarks with a special connection to the land.  I believe in the power of women to nourish and heal.  I gather the weeds on my land and make my own medicines.  I grow an organic vegetable garden.  I harvest wild foods.

I’m very discouraged with the US health care system.  So many of lifes natural events, such as childbirth, are treated like illnesses.  We’ve lost touch with our natural wisdom and handed it over to doctors who many times are too busy or just don’t care.  We are given drugs that treat specific symptoms, but can cause side effects that are worse than the original issue.

My intention here at GoodEarthHealth is not replace the advice of your doctor, but augment it with suggestions and ideas that come from the Earth and from within.  My hope is to remind you of the power that you already have to nourish and care for yourself and your family.

Be Healthy,

Liana – GoodEarthMama
